I just want to let you all know that I will no longer be updating the site. Fansites have been a great escape for me. Ever since I started my first site in 2004, I have been in love. I appreciate everyone who has helped me throughout the years. A special thanks to Svenn, Gertie, AJ, and Hayley. You have all helped me in more ways than you will ever know. As I leave the fansite world I leave behind a second family. I want to thank each and every visitor from the bottom of my heart. And I will live on in the fansite community through Somewhat Famous.

On Her 2007 Nude Photo Scandal: ‘It Has Made Me Stronger’

Posted: June 30th, 2010 | By: Ryan | Filed Under: Uncategorized | 1 Comment »

A former Disney star is officially putting down her Mickey Mouse ears to become a sexy kitten! Vanessa Hudgens posed with some cuddly kitties on the upcoming August issue of Glamour.

Showing off her rockin’ bod on the cover, the raven-haired beauty wore a tight-fitted black vest paired with a matching beaded belt and cute jeans to highlight the mag’s special denim issue.

Vanessa says glamming it up isn’t the only chic style that’s sexy. The starlet, who admits she wants to try sportier things like kite or paddle surfing, said sometimes wearing casual trendy blues can make you look and feel better!

“A, it goes with anything,” Vanessa explained of her love for jeans. “And, B, if your jeans hug you the right way, you feel like a sexpot. [Laughs.] And they get better with age!”

The actress may be comfortable in denim, but she wasn’t always comfortable in her own skin.“When I was younger, I used to be super, super shy,” she revealed. “I still find myself being scared of things.”

One of the fears she comes across often? Going to star studded events where all eyes are on her.

“Going to events gives me such anxiety,” she said. “I get hot flashes! I can’t breathe, and I get claustrophobic. It’s a very odd business. I do it because I love acting, but I don’t know if I’ll ever get used to it.”

Her insecurities may have stemmed from being home schooled at a young age (where Vanessa said she could be drama free) or perhaps from the fact that Vanessa was once tarnished by the public scrutiny she received for some oh-so racy pics.

“I think that it has made me stronger. But it still hurts,” the 21-year-old said. “It sucks because [the photos were] supposed to be private, but at the same time a lot of actresses do it [in movies]. Eventually, I’m sure that I will [too]. But I don’t know if I would be able to do it now.”

One thing’s for sure, nudity or not, her forthcoming career moves showcase a much more adult persona than ever before. In “Beastly,” due out next year, Vanessa plays the daughter of a drug addict, and in “Sucker Punch,” she’ll take on the role of a tough, edgy girl in an action fantasy. Before all that, though, she’ll star on the L.A. stage in “Rent” as the temptress Mimi.

“When I am around kids and they come up to me, of course I am going to act a certain way,” she said. “But at the end of the day, I’m doing this for myself. I’m going to be doing movies kids can’t watch.”

What do you think of Vanessa’s feline-friendly Glamour cover? Do you believe she can make the transition from family-friendly movies to rated R ones?

I always wanted to be a nitty-gritty actress

Posted: June 30th, 2010 | By: Ryan | Filed Under: Uncategorized | 1 Comment »

Vanessa Hudgens takes a lot of heat for being an actress associated with kid-friendly films but yet can’t seem to avoid getting caught without her clothes on.

But while Hudgens, 21, said she still harbors pain from the infamous leaked snapshots of her topless, she told Glamour magazine that the whole episode has made her stronger. “It sucks because [the photos were] supposed to be private, but at the same time a lot of actresses do it [in movies],” she said. “Eventually, I’m sure that I will [too]. But I don’t know if I would be able to do that now.”

Yet right from the start, before she grew into a tween idol, Hudgens “wanted to be a nitty-gritty actress,” she told Glamour.

And then, “‘High School Musical’ came along, and I was like, ‘Oh my God, fun!’ But the more we did it, the more prude I became,” Hudgens said. So yes, when she’s around kids, “of course I am going to act a certain way, but at the end of the day, I’m doing this for myself. I’m going to be doing movies kids can’t watch.”

Hudgens’ boyfriend, Zac Efron, has also been trying to transition out of the kiddie spotlight (we’re pretty sure his newly developed muscles won’t hurt), but it doesn’t sound like their growing pains have hurt their relationship.

“Right off the bat, we had a connection. I think everybody could see it,” Hudgens said. “When we had our audition, they paired us together. And he was adorable. I mean, he wasn’t the guy that he is today. Like, he had a gap in his teeth. He was a whole different person.”

Now when she looks at him, she “sees a man,” she told Glamour. While they’ve had a few bouts of jealousy, in the end, Hudgens thinks they push each other to do better. “[I love] having someone to grow with,” she said.

VHudge to get “Sucker Punched”

Posted: June 30th, 2010 | By: Ryan | Filed Under: Uncategorized | No Comments »

Vanessa Hudgens is one of the most talented young stars we have seen in Hollywood the past few years. We have seen her sing and dance in the High School Musical movies, and Hudgens is now ready to move forward into more adult oriented roles. Later this year, Hudgens will star in Beastly, which is being described as a modern day Beauty And The Beast. Next year she will star in the highly anticipated film, Sucker Punch, where she will be playing a role entirely different from that which she has ever played. We caught up with Hudgens and asked her about her role in this film. (Click on the audio player to hear Vanessa Hudgens)

Vanessa Hudgens Won’t Be A Vampire Slayer

Posted: June 18th, 2010 | By: Ryan | Filed Under: Uncategorized | 1 Comment »

Vanessa Hudgens doesn’t want to piss off vampire fans.

The 21-year-old High School Musical actress recently turned down a role in a movie version of the hit TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer because she felt that vampire fans might get a little angry if she stars in a film where her main role is driving a wooden stake through their hearts. From Hollyscoop:

She felt that with Twlight still so massive Buffy would not be the best option right now [...] The idea was to have [Sarah Michelle Geller, star of the WB series] back but with Vanessa as a fresh, new character. The project has been shelved for now.

Maybe it is best that Vanessa sits out the vampire trend since Twilight will surely “Eclipse” (okay, bad joke) any new vampire films. However, rabid Buffy fans might be a little hurt to find out that Vanessa squashed their chances at seeing Buffy again.

Do you think it is a good idea for Vanessa to pass on Buffy?

Vanessa Hudgens’ Hooker Role: “It’s Really Fun”

Posted: May 25th, 2010 | By: Ryan | Filed Under: Uncategorized | No Comments »

Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron aren’t in High School anymore.

At last night’s Nylon party at the Tropicana, cover girl Vanessa talked about the mature role she’s playing in Sucker Punch: a prostitute!

“Honestly, it’s a combination of a lot of things,” she told E! News diplomatically. “It’s really fun and it’s a fantasy and you’re going to have to see to understand.”

So how did the Disney darling prepare for her adult role?

No word if she visited strip clubs or street corners for research, but she did say she got physical.

“We did martial arts,” Vanessa said. “We trained with the Navy SEAL(s). We got to shoot a lot of guns. It was very exhilarating!”

That’s not the only challenging role V’s taking. She’s also appearing on stage in Rent this summer, directed by Neil Patrick Harris.

Sounds like Vanessa would like to show off her singing skills on the small screen, too. The starlet said she’d love to be on the hit show Glee.

As for her boyfriend, Zac, he was just there to support last night. “I think it is absolutely amazing,” he told E! of her magazine cover. “I think it looks great.”

Inside, the couple were as cute as could be, sharing a corner table and sipping drinks since they’re both finally 21.

Fellow cover girl Ashley Greene was also at the party but refused interviews, opting only to take photos.

With all the rumors about her and Kellan Lutz’s Breaking Dawn salary negotiations, that’s probably a smart choice.

“Beastly” Date Moved

Posted: May 22nd, 2010 | By: Ryan | Filed Under: Uncategorized | No Comments »

Vanessa Hudgens makes a quick stop at her parent’s home to pick up pup Shadow in Los Angeles on Thursday afternoon (May 20).

The 21-year-old actress, who kept it comfy in a pair of slippers and runner pants, dropped off Shadow at the groomers while she went to do some more errands around town.

According to the Orlando Sentinal, CBS Films has moved the release date of Beastly!

Vanessa told JJJ last week at the Nylon party the same thing: “We’re not sure if it’s going to stay at that date. We’ll see,” she said.
